Driver training

Training of drivers of vehicles up to 3.5 t

Act No. 262/2006 Coll., Labor Code in § 103 para. 2, impose an employer's obligation:
"Training of employees on training in legislation and other regulations to ensure safety and health at work, which supplement their professional prerequisites and requirements for the performance of work, which relate to the work they perform and the relationship to risks with which the employee may come into contact at the workplace , on which the work is performed, and systematically require and control their observance ”.

Obligation to train drivers with the participation of all employees who carry out motor vehicles up to 3.5 t on a business trip, regardless of whether they have the vehicle agreed in the employment contract or not or whether they operate a company car or their own vehicle.

Training content

The training consists of a sequence of topics and test questions. Individual topics are focused mainly on the rules of traffic on roads (Act No. 361/2000 Coll.), Theory and principles of safe driving, dealing with traffic accidents, consequences and sanctions, first aid in traffic accidents, regulations related to traffic on roads roads, driver 's responsibility in passenger transport, vehicle documents, technical capability of the vehicle, preventive maintenance.

Who is the training for?

The training is intended for all employees who combine a work with a job during their activities, regardless of whether it is business or private. The training must be completed by every employee who is in an employment relationship with employers, including employees with a concluded agreement on the performance of work or an agreement on the performance of activities.

Legislation

the training of drivers of vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes is created in accordance with the valid legislation of the Czech Republic and the following regulations in the valid wording:

  • Act No. 262/2006 Coll., Labor Code;
  • Act No. 309/2006 Coll., Which regulates other requirements for safety and health protection at work in labor relations and ensuring safety and health protection at work or providing services outside labor relations (Act on ensuring other conditions for safety and health at work ), as amended.
  • Government Regulation No. 168/2002 Coll., Which stipulates the method of work organization and work procedures that are compulsorily processed by the employer when operating transport by means of transport;
  • Act No. 111/1994 Coll. on road transport;
  • Road Traffic Act and on Amendments to Certain Acts (Road Traffic Act);
  • Act No. 56/2001 Coll., On the conditions of operation of vehicles on roads;
  • Road Safety and Traffic Act;
  • Act No. 168/1999 Coll., On Liability Insurance for Damage Caused by Vehicle Operation and on Amendments to Certain Other Acts (Act on Liability Insurance for Vehicle Operation).
