Passenger cars B
Category B license entitles you to drive motor vehicles up to the total weight of 3.5 tonnes and the maximum of 8 passengers plus a driver (possibly with a trailer up to 750 kg if the total weight of the combination does not exceed 3.5 tonnes).
With B – class driving license, you can also drive a 125 cc scooter (11 kW and a power / weight ratio of 0.1 kW / kg). However, this option applies exclusively to the Czech Republic and will therefore not be recorded in the driving license. The scooter must be equipped with an automatic gearbox.
It also authorizes the driving of tractors and self-propelled working machines with a maximum permissible weight of up to 3.5 tonnes.
Conditions for admission to group B training
- Age 18 years ( on Final Exam day)
- Legal capacity and fitnes to drive a motor vehicle
- Permanent or temporary stay in the Czech Republic
- The applicant is not subject to a disqualification or penalty of a disqualification from driving, does not have 12 points in the driver register or does not hold a valid driving license granted by another member state
Teaching and training according to individual study plan
- The applicant for a driving license will acquire theoretical preparation by self-study and compulsory consultations to the extent specified in the syllabus.
Practice
- 28 hours: driving treining (3 stages) including training in hazardous situations
- 2 hours: practical maintenance training
- 4 hours: practical medical training
Final exams
Final examinations are held at the municipal office.
Applicants must hold a valid ID card or a license if they own , 700 CZK fee for the final examination.
The exams are divided into 2 parts:
Examination of road traffic regulations (1 test)
- The exam consists of 25 questions, each question has only one correct answer.
- Individual questions are assigned a specific point value.
- The maximum score is 50.
- The theory test paging score is 43 points.
Practical driving test:
- You only take the practical driving test if you pass the Theory test.
- The test of practical driving should take at least 30 minutes for Group B.
Note: No test with knowledge of vehicle operation and maintenance for category B is required in the final exam.
If you fail a part of the exam, you will repeat that part only. You don't have to worry about repeating the whole exam. A new exam can be performed 5 days after the failed exam. You have 6 months for all exams, starting from the date of the first exam.
